2021 Spring Player Development Academy
 
Purpose:

Provide Spring Player Development Academy members a transformational experience through:
-Top instruction
-Sustainable development curriculum
-Lacrosse IQ enhancement
-100's of Reps each session
-Feedback
-FUN!

Typical Session:

30-45 minutes will be focused on stick skills (passing, catching, ground balls) 45-60 will be focused on dodging, shooting, and defensive skill work. REPS! REPS!! REPS!!!


Dates and Times:  
Tuesday's April 27th, May 4th, 11th 6:15pm to 7:45pm
Wednesday's May 5th, 12th, 19th 6:15pm to 7:45pm
Sunday's May 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd 8:30am to 10:00am

Spring 
Player Development Academy is directed by Kerry C. Weigner. Coach Weigner brings 24 years of experience as a High School coach, travel club owner, and lacrosse trainer. Teams he has coached have won five NJ State Championships, a UA All-America National Championship, and several conference and county championships. Hundreds of players he has coached and trained have gone on to play at Division 1, 2, 3, and MCLA levels with several going on to win D1, D2, D3, and MCLA National Championships.   • Fever of 100.3 degrees F/37.9 degrees C
  • Chills
  • Muscle pain
  • Sore throat
  • New loss of taste or smell

  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces and equipment (including balls, mouthguards, sticks, water bottles, helmets, eyewear, pads, uniform).
  • No sharing of equipment, water bottles, towels.
  • Thoroughly wash hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds (sing "Happy Birthday" twice) or use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol.
  • Have sanitizing options available, including, but not limited to hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes.
  • If capability exists, the temperature of participants should be taken using an infrared thermometer. Anyone with a temperature of 100.3 degrees or more should be sent home and evaluated by a licensed medical professional before being cleared to participate.
  • Arrive dressed and ready to train.
  • Minimize use of changing rooms, bathrooms, communal areas.
  • Eat off-site. Bring your own water bottle (name labeled on it).
  • Any tasks that can be done at home, should be done at home (recovery sessions, online meetings).

  • Cover your mouth and nose with elbow or tissue when coughing or sneezing.

    Follow the public health guidelines of the host location for the lacrosse activity, when determining what necessary return to play and risk mitigation plan to follow.
